Celestial Tapestry This is another celestial tapestry, similar to our "daylight" tapestry. These are also hand made in India. Suns, moons, stars, and comets abound on this celestial tapestry in bright and vivid colors! However, the larger size of this tapestry is slightly different than the smaller size, even though they are the "same" print. The smaller tapestry has a sun face in the center, while the larger has a solar image in the center, without a face. Small Celestial Tapestry (left) This tapestry comes in a vivid combination of colors, including red, yellow, white, and black. Our small celestial tapestry has a sun face in the center of a diamond border, with a moon at each corner of the diamond. The diamond border has stars and moons on a red background. The interior of diamond, the area surrounding the sun, is solid black. It does not have stars on it, as shown in the photo to the left. The diamond sits on a striped background with a solar image at each corner, all set within a frame of stars, moon, and comets. The final exterior border of the tapestry is a block print of squares, stripes, and triangles, in black, white, yellow, and dark gold/light brown. The colors are quite bright with lots of yellow, bright red, and dark gold/light brown. There is more yellow than red in this size of the tapestry. Large Celestial Tapestry (above) This large tapestry comes in a vivid combination of colors, including red, yellow/orange, white, and black. This celestial tapestry is almost identical to the small size with a slight color variation of a yellow/orange, rather than plain yellow. It has a solar image in the center of a diamond border, with a moon at each corner of the diamond. There is no face on the solar image, but the background surrounding the solar image is black with white stars and moons, speckled throughout, as in the photo, above. The diamond border has yellow/orange stars and moons on a red background. The diamond sits on a striped background with a solar image at each corner, all set within a frame of stars, moon, and comets. The final exterior border of the tapestry is a block print of squares, stripes, and triangles, in black, white, yellow/orange, and red. The colors are quite bright with lots of yellow/orange and bright red. There is more red in this size of the tapestry. Both hippy tapestries are hand made of 100% cotton, in India. The sizes are fairly consistent but could vary just an inch or two. Therefore, they could be 1-2" smaller, but they will not be larger. Both are made of 100% cotton. |
