The Easiest Way To Get Around
The main menu is located near the top and says "Home Shop Fun Learn Community Contact"
The first link (Home) takes you to the front page of the entire web site.
The second link (Shop) takes you to the front page of the shopping area of the web site.
The third link (Fun) takes you to our free "fun stuff to do" pages.
The fourth link (Learn) takes you to our free "learn stuff" pages.
The fifth link (Community) takes you to our community center, links, and forums.
The sixth link (Contact) takes you to our email and phone number contact form.
If you ever get lost, these links will take you to the main page for THAT section.
Each section is kind of like its own web site.
Please, note: The shopping section has a membership account, but the community also has its own sign on, just for community members. These are not transferable, at this time. For security reasons, if you wish to participate in both areas, you will need to sign up at both sections.
The store requires name, email, and address information, while the community only requires name and email address.
From within any of these sections, you will find a menu that runs down the left side of the page. This menu helps you to "navigate", or find your way around, in that section of the web site.
Known Web Site Issues
These are known annoyances and we are working on them. As solutions are found, they will be removed. As new annoyances are found, they will be posted.
- Missing Pages/Web Site Overhaul- As of May 1, 2005, the new web site is just going "live". First, will be the shopping area. After that, we will overhaul the learn stuff and fun stuff pages. Until that time, you may find yourself on product pages from the old store. If you get lost, just hit the "Home" button on the left menu, to take you to our front page, where you will be able to navigate through the new site.
- Community memberships are not transferable to shopping memberships and vice versa. You will need to create a membership in each, to participate in both areas. This is for security reasons and until a safe solution is found, it will remain this way.
- Back Button No Longer Works-You chose to use "express checkout" while shopping. After completing your order the back button on product pages takes you back to the "order success" page. Close ALL browser windows and start again. This is a bug in the "express checkout" and we are working on a solution.
- My browser's "back button" is missing! We are talking about the back button on your browser, not in our store. If you clicked on a link that was leaving Grandpa's, we had it open a "new" window. Just close the window that has no back button. We do this to keep your "session" from dissolving, so that your shopping cart will be able to identify your basket.
- I Cannot Create An Account! If you used "express checkout", while shopping, and attempt to create an account in the next few minutes, it may fail. You will need to close ALL browser windows and begin again.
- Cannot Checkout! If you try to send an order to a destination we do not serve, you will begin a loop in the system. Every time you click a "checkout" link, your browser will return to the shopping cart. The only way to stop this is to shut down ALL browser windows and begin again.
