Terra Cotta Face Pots
The tradition of pottery with faces dates back to Egyptian times and appears in many other cultures throughout the ages.

These are the most unusual little ceramic garden pots, we have seen in awhile! This terra cotta pot is styled after a cauldron, with a man's face on the front. The face pot makes a fine whimsical guardian for your favorite plant or you could grow some chia seeds and have HAIR!

Our goofy little man can be used for so many things. The face pots have a drain hole, so are perfectly suited for small slower growing plants, but are also great for candy dishes, offering bowls, pencil holders, paper clip holders, and so much more. They would be excellent for votive candles, if you have a glass holder or candle cup to keep the wax from dripping through the hole, or you could just use tealights!

A little putty in the drain hole could turn this face pot into an incredible incense burner. Just add some salt, dirt, or sand. Another point of note, is that these face pots are made with unsealed terra cotta. That is, they will slowly erode over the years, if left exposed to the elements. It is still quite durable, but is worth mentioning. The face pots should not be left where they will freeze.

Terra Cotta Face Pot Details:
This adorable little pot has a smiling face on the front and is made with terra cotta clay. That gives them a orange/red color you see so often in garden pots. The face pot is somewhat potbellied, like a cauldron, with a flared top(Greenery is not included). Our terra cotta man / face pot is about 4" across, and 3 1/2" tall. The drain hole is about 1/2" across. The terra cotta pot is unsealed.

By the way, we have MANY unsealed terra cotta pots at home, and I have yet to have one fall apart. Some are hand me downs, over 20 years old. They just cannot be left where it will freeze or where they will be in constant harsh weather.
