If you burn resins, powders, or dried herbs, you will most likely need charcoal disks. Swift Lite Charcoal Discs are self-lighting and long-burning mini charcoal tablets. These charcoal tablets will burn for anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour. Swift Lite Charcoal Discs are self-lighting and long-burning mini charcoal tablets.

How To Use Swift-Lite Tablets

To use a Swift-Lite tablet for incense:
The charcoal discs have a concave indentation at the top. Just remove a disc from the roll and place it in your incense burner*, with the "bowl" facing up. Light the edge of the charcoal with a match or taper until you see it begin to spark across the top of the charcoal. You may wish to fan the charcoal for a minute or two, after lighting, to get it good and hot. Then, just add your incense or herbs, a small amount (1/4-1/2 tsp.) at a time. As the incense burns up, you can add more until you are finished.

When you are done burning the incense, the charcoal should be left to burn out and cool in the censer. To extinguish a disc before it has fully cooled, quench in a container of cold water. Any unused charcoal tablets should be stored in something like a zip-lock bag to keep them dry. Swift-Lite tablets should also be stored away from any heat source. This will help to keep the charcoal blocks quick lighting and long burning.

*PLEASE NOTE-USE A HEAT PROOF INCENSE BURNER! When the charcoal tablet is lit, do not handle it as it WILL cause a burn. Charcoal can burn at up to 1500 degrees F. and may burn up to an hour before burning out. Do not dispose of the ash remains in a waste paper bin as this may cause a fire. Do not hold the charcoal tablet in your hand when lighting or burning. A pair of tweezers may be used to move the charcoal around INSIDE the burner. This product ignites instantly. These discs are Swift-Lite 33mm and each has 10 charcoal tablets per roll. Ok, so I know some of you may want to know the tablet size in inches. Swift-Lite 33mm charcoal tablet measures approximately 1 1/3" across.

Some rolls we receive are in plain silver foil packets. Others are in Swift-Lite packets of red and silver. No matter what the style of packaging, these are identical and ALWAYS Swift-Lite.

Always use with heat-proof container when burning charcoal and never leave burning incense unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
