Until very recently, Grandpa's did not ship to international destinations, at all. Because of the high shipping costs, possible damages, and some missing packages, we discontinued this service.
Grandpa's has always been about excellent customer service and it troubled us, deeply, that international packages might not make it to their destination or would be damaged. This is STILL a major concern, but after a lot of prodding from our international visitors, we decided to try to make this work for you. We are willing to ship, if you are willing accept the costs and risk.
Grandpa's General Store is located in the state of Wisconsin, USA, and is bound by the laws of this state. There are no requirements for businesses regarding returns and refunds, so please read the following, carefully. This is our international policy. We feel it is fair, it is legal, and it may vary from your own laws considerably.
Prices: All prices are in US Dollars. A currency converter can be found here.
Payments: All payments must be made in international money order, paid in US Dollars. Any other form of payment will be returned. Incorrect amounts (lower) will either be returned or your order will be adjusted to that dollar amount. Incorrect amounts (higher) will be issued a merchandise credit for any overage. Either way, an email notification will be sent.
Product Descriptions: All descriptions and weights are in US measurements. There are many online converters, to help you convert our measurements to those of your country. Here, is just one. Also, please read item descriptions, very carefully, to avoid being disappointed. We are always happy to answer questions about our products, before you make your purchase.
Shipping: Most orders will ship within 2-3 weeks, of our receipt of payment, and ship via the US postal service.
Returns: Because of the extraordinary shipping costs involved, we do not usually accept any returns on international orders, regardless of whose mistake it is. Please note: We are very careful to double/triple check all orders and mistakes are extremely rare, but they can happen.
Damages: We pack all of our orders very carefully. All packages are insured and it will be the customer's responsibility to make any claim with the postal service for damages. PLEASE, contact us immediately and keep all boxing and packing materials for the carrier to inspect, if necessary. We can provide you with insurance information, upon receipt of a damaged order.
Missing orders: We insure all packages and it will be the customer's responsibility to make any insurance claim with the postal service. Please, contact us if your package has not arrived within 30 days of our shipping notice. We can provide you with insurance information, upon request.
