The Meaning of the Pentacle Star, or Pentagram
Also known as a pentagram, the pentacle is a symbol of a star encased in a circle. Always with 5 points (one pointing upward), each has its own meaning. The upward point of the pentacle star is representative of the spirit. The other four points all represent an element; earth, air, fire, and water. All these things contribute to life and are a part of each of us. All the elements and the spirit are within the circle to symbolize that everything is connected.

The Meaning Of The Celtic Knot
Also spelled Keltic, the Celtic knot is "any of eight decorative knots with alternating over-and-under construction, originating in pre-Christian times and found in manuscripts and on monuments"*.
A never ending knot, symbolizing the never ending eternal circle of life - the Celtic knotwork has neither a beginning nor an end and so is often associated with protection and love, as well as life. Some people will use the Celtic knot to protect themselves or their homes from negative energies.

Red Pentagram Tote Details:
These cool Red Pentacle tote bags are made in India, of 100% cotton. Each tote bag measures about 18" x 18", and has a woven red pentacle mandala in the center (5 pointed star). These pentacle prints are on lightweight black cotton canvas.

This Wiccan pentacle mandala pattern has red, yellow, blue, black and tan. The tan background is actually white covered with tiny little dots, of various colors, much like impressionistic pointillism. This gives it a tan-ish/red appearance.

A Celtic knot woven pentacle is in the center of the mandala, The pentacle star pattern is silk/block screened in multiple colors, using several screens, and the print is very clear.

Our Celtic totes have a floral trim around the woven pentagram, and then a black Celtic knotwork square, beyond that. The whole picture is framed in black.

All of our Celtic totes are made in India and can vary, ever so slightly from piece to piece. This red pentacle tote is made, in India, of 100% cotton. Hand wash, in cold water.
