A Little About The Zodiac & Astrology
The Zodiac is literally the "Circle of Animals", from the Greek zoion. It is an imaginary belt in the heavens that includes the apparent paths of the Moon and the planets*. Throughout history, various gods have been associated with various signs of the zodiac, as well as angels, metals, trees and plants, stones, and animals. Just about anything you can name in Heaven and Earth can be associated with a sign of the zodiac.

In western astrology, the zodiac is made up of 12 signs, named after the constellations. The signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.

Some say that you choose the day and time of your birth, waiting for an appropriate astrological alignment, and that your horoscope will reflect what lessons you chose to learn in this lifetime. Depending on what postions (zodiac sign and degree) the planets were located, at the moment you were born, an astrologer can attribute certain energies to your horoscope, showing strengths and weaknesses, helping you to make decisions that will work in harmony with your life's path.

This Zodiac tapestry has every sign detailed in a circular border around the sun. The pictures do not show it well, but each sign is a detailed drawing of the 12 individual Sun signs, including Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces!

The zodiac tapestry colors are a wonderful combination of purples, black, and white.
The center background surrounding the sun is celestial, in black and purple, including many stars and planets. The background, outside the zodiac ring, is also black, speckled with moons and stars. The very edge of the zodiac tapestry has a border of full and crescent moons on a background of purple stars!

Our zodiac tapestries are 84" x 100" (7ft x 8'4") before hemming and washing. The tapestries are made in India, of 100% cotton. Hand wash, in cold water.
