The Meaning of the Pentacle Star, or Pentagram
Also known as a pentagram, the pentacle is a symbol of a star encased in a circle. Always with 5 points (one pointing upward), each has its own meaning. The upward point of the pentacle star is representative of the spirit. The other four points all represent an element; earth, air, fire, and water.  All these things contribute to life and are a part of each of us.  All the elements and the spirit are within the circle to symbolize that everything is connected.

The Meaning Of The Celtic Knot
Also spelled Keltic, the Celtic knot is "any of eight decorative knots with alternating over-and-under construction, originating in pre-Christian times and found in manuscripts and on monuments"*.
A never ending knot, symbolizing the never ending eternal circle of life - the Celtic knotwork has neither a beginning nor an end and so is often associated with protection and love, as well as life. Some people will use the Celtic knot to protect themselves or their homes from negative energies.

Purple Pentacle Altar Cloth Details:
This is a gorgeous Celtic Wiccan pentacle sarong! The cloth measures approximately 21" x 72" and is made out of 100% Rayon voile (art silk).  What is voile? Voile is a French word for veil, so this is a very lightweight sarong. :) Hand wash, in cold water.

The ends of the cloths even have hand knotted fringe! The color is a beautiful purple, a little lighter than royal. The print is black. The black design is bordered with a very thin line of lighter purple. Of course, with many things imported from India, the colors or style may vary, ever so slightly, from batch to batch. The purple sarong border is a beautiful Celtic knot design.

This pentacle sarong is also 6 feet long, so it could be worn as a shawl, tied into a bandeau top, or just use your imagination. It would make a wonderful table runner, ritual altar cloth, or short curtain, as well. These purple pentacle sarongs make great gift ideas for pagans, tarot readers, or your favorite hippy!
