Smudging is the burning of sacred herbs in tribal smudging ceremonies for clearing, prayer, & purification.
Not just used by Native Americans, smudge has been used for thousands of years all over the world, though they may call it by another name (incense, for example).

What is Blue Corn? It is a colorful type of corn that is traditionally given as an offering to Mother Earth for her nurturing support, as well as for an abundant harvest. The corn may be whole or ground, as in corn meal. In some tribal traditions, Blue corn is the food of the spirits. Tribal fetishes (carved animals) are often given offerings. Blue corn is also sprinkled around a dwelling for protection. May also be used at occasions such as planting of a garden or blessing of a child. Some people add a little blue corn (ground) when making a healing smudge.

Given as an offering, think of the many ways that thanks can be given for the gifts we receive from Mother Earth. Corn carries with it the energy of nurturing and prosperity. Blue represents the sky and spirit. Blue Corn carries with it the energy of the "Blue Road" (Spirit path).

Herbal Scents Blue Corn is about 1 3/4 oz. and measures approximately 3 1/4" wide x 5" high x 1/2" thick. Package colors are usually pastel and may vary. The package has basic "use for" information on the back. The blue corn also comes with a muslin bag to hold your corn.

Always use with heat-proof container to burn your smudge. Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
