Benzoin Resin Incense ~ Charcoal Resins
A resin from the Styrax family, Benzoin relates to the signs Aquarius and Leo; the Sun and the planet Uranus; and to the elements of Air and Fire.
Benzoin is a great all purpose magical incense that is meant to be burned over charcoal discs. This resin is helpful in astral projection, prosperity spells, purification rituals, and for increasing mental powers. Benzoin resin may also be used as a substitute for Storax.

Benzoin Resin has a sweet, woody scent, sometimes slightly floral and sometimes similar to vanilla. It just depends on the benzoin that arrives. Whatever the type, it is really at its fragrant best when blended with other ingredients, rather than burned by itself. Benzoin is often used as a base for ritual incense blends and is added to tinctures and oils to help preserve them.

Benzoin helps to warm & open the heart center. It is antiseptic, and is wonderful for cleansing, whether you wish to clear a room or simply for cleansing your aura. It is said that benzoin helps bring inspiration and creativity. Benzoin can help attract love, provide psychic protection, wisdom, aids the memory, and helps ease depression. It is also often used in prosperity spells. I told you benzoin was a great all purpose incense. Just sprinkle a few granules onto hot incense charcoal and voila!

Benzoin is a good all purpose resin incense that everyone should have in their magical cabinet. However, it will not burn by itself, but needs to be burned over charcoal blocks.

Always use with heat-proof container when burning charcoal incense and never leave burning incense unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
