GIFT CERTIFICATES
- Grandpa's offers gift certificates for sale in amounts as small as $10.00 or as much as $200.00.
- These are good for merchandise, including shipping costs and taxes.
- You may purchase many small certificates or just one large amount. It is up to you.
- Gift certificates are a virtual product. That is, redemption information is sent by email.
- Certificates are listed on our regular store menu on the left side of the page.
Members: When you purchase a certificate, you choose (under options) whether you would like the certificate amount entered directly into your account, or wish the information emailed to you. We email the information or enter the amount into your account, after payment is confirmed.
Non-Members: You purchase a certificate and we email the certificate redemption information after payment is confirmed. You may include this information in a gift card or email to your gift recipient. If you do not have email access, please note this when you checkout and the information will be sent with your order.
How To Send A Gift Certificate
When you purchase a gift certificate, we will place the certificate in your account, or we will send you the information via email, as you requested.
- E-mail Certificate
If choose to have us email the certificate redemption information, you may include this information in a gift card or email to your gift recipient.
Please note: We do not activate certificates until payment has been confirmed. We also cannot place certificates in nonexistent accounts. - Account Certificate
If the certificate goes into your account, you may send certificates from your account directly by email for any denomination (ie $12.50) to as many recipients as you wish. Just sign onto your account and click on "Send Gift Certificate" from the shopping cart box on the left menu and follow the easy instructions.
How To Redeem A Gift Certificate
- Email Gift Certificates
Click on the link in the email, to activate your certificate. If you are a member, sign on. Otherwise, select the create an account. Then, shop for the item(s) you want. When you checkout (on the payment page), just click the check box that says redeem. This will apply your certificate to the current order. If you have any balance remaining, it will be there on your next visit! - Certificate Code Only
If you are a member, sign on. Otherwise, click on "my account" at the top of any page and select create an account. Just fill in the info.
Then, shop for the item(s) you want. When you checkout (on the payment page), enter the code number and click the "redeem" button. A check box will appear. Check this box to apply your certificate to the current order. If you have any balance remaining, it will be there on your next visit!
If Purchase Total Is More Than The Certificate Value
You will need to either use a credit card, or send in payment for any extra cost over the amount of the certificate. The alternative is to remove something from your shopping cart to bring the total below the amount of the gift certificate.
Buying With Gift Certificates
If you have funds in your Gift Certificate Account, you can use those funds to purchase items in our store. Gift Certificate funds available will always show in the shopping cart box (located on the left hand side of the page), IF you are signed on.
At the checkout payment stage, an extra box will appear. Ticking this box will apply those funds in your Gift Certificate account. Please note, If you have more funds in your Gift Certificate account than the total cost of your purchase, the balance will be left in your Gift Certificate account for the future.
TIPS AND TRICKS
If you chose to have the certificate entered into your account, but want to send it in a "real card" to somebody, just email it to yourself. After it is sent, you will be taken to a "success" page that will show the certificate number. Write this down. You can include this number in any gift card along with our web store address!
