A Little Aromatherapy Lore
Aromatherapy has been in use for thousands of years. It is generally acknowledged that aromatherapy began in ancient Egypt, although some authors claim that the aboriginal people of Australia were using plant oils over 40,000 years ago for medicinal purposes.

Aroma lamp, oil diffuser, fragrance diffuser, potpourri warmer, oil warmer, or oil burner. These are all names used to describe the same item. The oil diffusers I am speaking of here, all use a flame to heat the fragrance oil. Some people use the oils to bring health and well being, others just enjoy the scent and the mood altering effects it provides.

You place a little water in the bowl on the top, then add a couple of drops of perfume oil, essential oil, or potpourri oil, and light a tea light under the oil. Then just let the tea light candle heat the water, releasing the wonderful fragrance of the oil into the air. You might be surprised at how a tiny thing like scent can improve the way you feel ...

Please Note: Pure essential Oils are extremely powerful. Pets (cats and birds especially) are very sensitive to them. Fresh air (away from the oils) should ALWAYS be available to your pet. Most oil diffusers may be used for wax tarts, as well. Please do consider the thickness of the diffuser bowl, first ... If it is very thin, the heat of the hot wax might break the bowl. As I said, though, most oil diffusers may be used as wax tart potpourri burners. If the wax tarts are too large, just break them up into smaller pieces or use wax chips instead.

Celestial Aroma Lamp Details:
This offer is for ONE oil warmer. The photo is intended to show the assorted styles available, only.
These are lovely little carved soapstone oil diffusers with a celestial motif.  The aroma lamp is made of gray soapstone, carved in India. Soapstone has a similar appearance to marble. The diffuser is about 3 3/4" tall, including the glass bowl to hold the oils. It measures about 3" across. There is a cutout in the back, that will hold most standard tea lights. The tea light, itself is not included, but tea lights may be purchased, here. The glass bowl measures about 3" across x 1 1/4" deep.

The soapstone oil warmers come in 3 assorted designs, either Sun & stars, Moon & stars, or just stars. The Sun, Moon, & Stars are all carved into the gray soapstone, so that when the aroma lamp is lit, the light from the candle shows through!

There are 3 different styles, but they come assorted. While we cannot guarantee any particular style, you are welcome to tell us which you prefer.

Please Note: These oil diffusers are made in India, carved individually, and made from soapstone. As in nature, slight imperfections are to be expected and they may vary slightly from piece to piece.
