Cary-Yale Visconti Tarocchi Deck - Italian Tarot Decks
The Cary-Yale Tarot deck of 86 cards is comprised of 22 major Arcana and 64 minor Arcana. This deck includes reproductions of 67 tarocchi cards from the Cary Collection of Playing Cards... The Cary-Yale Visconti Tarocchi deck is one of the Visconti-Sforza packs created in Italy in the 15th Century.

Nineteen cards have been recreated to replace missing originals. In addition to the King and Queen, each suit in the Minor Arcana contains both male and female Knights and Pages, for a total of 16 cards per suit. The cards are far from plain, but have no numbers or titles on them.

Included in the recreation of the 19 missing cards are the 3 virtues; faith, hope, and charity, replacing the missing Pope, Star and Popess cards. The minor arcana suits are the Staves in place of Wands, Cups, Swords, and Coins in place of Pentacles. The Staves suit is represented by an arrow.

The cards come with an instruction booklet and are quite large, measuring 3 3/4" X 7 1/2". This Antique Italian tarot deck is a must for tarot collectors.
