For Want Of A Horse-Shoe Nail

PoetryFor want of a nail,
the shoe was lost;

for want of a shoe,
the horse was lost; for want of a horse,
the rider was lost;

for want of a rider,
the battle was lost;

for want of a battle,
the kingdom was lost;

and all for the want
of a horse-shoe nail.

I have read this short rhyme and was really an interesting one. All children will like e. I will share this rhyme with my son who is in kindergarten. He throws away his barefoot shoes and here the horse does the same.... What’s so interesting in the rhyme is its conclusion that the kingdom has lost only for the search of a horse shoe nail. I have read many similar rhymes but this one conveys a great idea that people lose big things only for getting some small things foolishly.
